But substitute Luis Diaz saved his life for the visiting team with a header in the 90+5th minute.

“It was a wonderful highlight in a game that doesn’t have many highlights and Luis (Diaz) came on and scored. It’s really great.” Klopp said.

“We should have done better. Credit to Luton, we had our moments but weren’t calm enough to put the finishing touches on our situation.”

“When you’re 1-0 down and you score an equalizer. It was a result that you quite liked. Before the game I didn’t think so. It was a result that both teams deserved. When looking at the game I think we didn’t deserve more than one point.”

“We played without any counter-pressing in the first half. I almost didn’t think anything of it and I told the kids. I can’t remember many times we won the ball back. And that’s not cool.”

“It’s one thing today. Time passes and it is not easy. It was not our best day.”
